Rachel "Chainsaw the Klown Cupcake" Hollander began her career in the circus after enjoying a long career as a dancer, singer and yogi. Two years ago, she went to a circus class where she met her Tissu Guru, Rob Crites. Her love affair with the circus started right then and there and will never stop. A year ago, Rachel set out from her comfy life as a yoga and dance teacher in Los Angeles to explore the world and focus on her love of rock climbing. This grand adventure to took her to Australia, New Zealand and Costa Rica. The journey also led Rachel to Peru where she is currently residing. She's not sure how, but she seems to have gotten stuck in Peru and is currently in love with the culture and life she is building there. Rachel is continuing her love affair with the active life in Peru, where she is currently studing Capoeira (Brazillian Dance Fighting) and continues to climb whenever she can. Rachel is proud to represent the international faction of the Aerial Cupcakes and looks forward to her return to the States (one day) to be reunited in a squishy and sticky sweet reunion with her grrls. Cupcake Power!

I have always felt that i was a bit of both the yin and the yang. That i could blend into the day or the night. My mind is powered by the planet and yet my body swings from the stars. And so i began my aerial journey from a very strang place. I began with my feet firmly and stubbornly planted to the ground. As a child i was terrified of heights, and I struggeled with this strange attachment to the earth. While so many other journeys as a young woman have taken me to new places ... I needed a journey that took me to new heights. One day i was determind to set aside the pull of the earth and to climb above and beyond my fear. And so began my love affair in the air.

I have discovered grace in the air that the ground does not allow. I can express emotions on the silks that i am not able to speak in words. I have learned more from my cupcakes then any school on earth could teach me.
